Life In Saskatchewan

Over the past few days, we’ve talked a lot about what Saskatchewan can offer the world. But what is it like to live there?

Enjoy a high quality of life

Residents of Saskatchewan enjoy a high quality of life thanks to the many services and opportunities in the province. We have dynamic cities, quiet towns, and rich culture. As the birthplace of universal healthcare in North America, our residents enjoy free medical care. Our diverse terrain offers recreation at beautiful lakes, parks, and lush countryside. We have professional sports teams, world-class museums, outdoor adventures, and unique restaurants.

Save on cost of living

Saskatchewan has some of the lowest home prices in Canada, which means owning a house is a realistic goal here. Residents also benefit from having some of the lowest utility rates in the country. Additionally, families can take advantage of subsidized childcare, which only costs $10 a day.

Study at acclaimed educational institutions

There are no tuition fees for students in pre-kindergarten to Grade 12, and students can enroll in English or French schools. The province has multiple post-secondary institutions available for students to choose from, including the University of Regina, University of Saskatchewan, Saskatchewan Polytechnic, and more. Students can earn advanced degrees, professional certificates, or upgrade professional skills. Eligible students, including international students, can apply for tuition refunds of up to $24,000 for studying in the province.
